Information
With the term blackout we mean a type of fabric that is commonly used for drapery. Blackout fabrics have the distinctive quality of blocking light, and come in two forms: 2-pass and 3-pass. … Three-pass can also be used as an upholstery fabric, as the black layer is not visible. Blackout fabrics can also be insulating and noise-dampening. A ‘3-pass’ blackout is produced by applying a layer of white foam to the fabric first, then a layer of black foam followed by the third and final layer of white or light-colored foam. Black out curtains are used in the contract business in Hotels and areas where you need either privacy or just to block the outside lighting/sun.
